How To Uninstall mactelnet-server On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall mactelnet-server just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mactelnet-server

Telnet daemon for accepting connections via MAC addressesUbuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/net0.4.0-1
sudo apt-get remove mactelnet-server

This will remove just the mactelnet-server package itself.

Uninstall mactelnet-server and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mactelnet-server

This will remove the mactelnet-server package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mactelnet-server then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mactelnet-server

Or similarly, like this mactelnet-server

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mactelnet-server
