How To Uninstall mailutils-dbg On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall mailutils-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mailutils-dbg

Debugging symbols for GNU mailutilsUbuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/debug1:2.99.98-1.1
sudo apt-get remove mailutils-dbg

This will remove just the mailutils-dbg package itself.

Uninstall mailutils-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mailutils-dbg

This will remove the mailutils-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mailutils-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mailutils-dbg

Or similarly, like this mailutils-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mailutils-dbg
