How To Uninstall makeself On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall makeself just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just makeself

utility to generate self-extractable archivesUbuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/utils2.2.0-1
sudo apt-get remove makeself

This will remove just the makeself package itself.

Uninstall makeself and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove makeself

This will remove the makeself package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for makeself then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge makeself

Or similarly, like this makeself

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove makeself
