How To Uninstall mariadb-test-5.5 On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall mariadb-test-5.5 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mariadb-test-5.5

MariaDB database regression test suiteUbuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/database5.5.36-1
sudo apt-get remove mariadb-test-5.5

This will remove just the mariadb-test-5.5 package itself.

Uninstall mariadb-test-5.5 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mariadb-test-5.5

This will remove the mariadb-test-5.5 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mariadb-test-5.5 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mariadb-test-5.5

Or similarly, like this mariadb-test-5.5

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mariadb-test-5.5
