How To Uninstall mate-notification-daemon-dbg On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall mate-notification-daemon-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mate-notification-daemon-dbg

daemon for displaying passive pop-up notifications (debugging symbols)Ubuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/debug1.6.1-1
sudo apt-get remove mate-notification-daemon-dbg

This will remove just the mate-notification-daemon-dbg package itself.

Uninstall mate-notification-daemon-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mate-notification-daemon-dbg

This will remove the mate-notification-daemon-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mate-notification-daemon-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mate-notification-daemon-dbg

Or similarly, like this mate-notification-daemon-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mate-notification-daemon-dbg
