How To Uninstall maven-debian-helper On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall maven-debian-helper just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just maven-debian-helper

Helper tools for building Debian packages with MavenUbuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/java1.6.6
sudo apt-get remove maven-debian-helper

This will remove just the maven-debian-helper package itself.

Uninstall maven-debian-helper and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove maven-debian-helper

This will remove the maven-debian-helper package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for maven-debian-helper then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge maven-debian-helper

Or similarly, like this maven-debian-helper

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove maven-debian-helper
