How To Uninstall maven On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall maven just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just maven

Java software project management and comprehension toolUbuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/java3.0.5-1
sudo apt-get remove maven

This will remove just the maven package itself.

Uninstall maven and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove maven

This will remove the maven package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for maven then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge maven

Or similarly, like this maven

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove maven
