How To Uninstall mboxgrep On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall mboxgrep just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mboxgrep

Grep through mailboxesUbuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/mail0.7.9-3
sudo apt-get remove mboxgrep

This will remove just the mboxgrep package itself.

Uninstall mboxgrep and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mboxgrep

This will remove the mboxgrep package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mboxgrep then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mboxgrep

Or similarly, like this mboxgrep

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mboxgrep
