How To Uninstall mcollective-plugins-logstash On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall mcollective-plugins-logstash just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mcollective-plugins-logstash

mcollective plugin for log stashingUbuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/admin0.0.0~git20120507.df2fa81-0ubuntu1
sudo apt-get remove mcollective-plugins-logstash

This will remove just the mcollective-plugins-logstash package itself.

Uninstall mcollective-plugins-logstash and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mcollective-plugins-logstash

This will remove the mcollective-plugins-logstash package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mcollective-plugins-logstash then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mcollective-plugins-logstash
