How To Uninstall mdbus2 On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall mdbus2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mdbus2

DBus introspection command line utilityUbuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/misc2.3.0-3
sudo apt-get remove mdbus2

This will remove just the mdbus2 package itself.

Uninstall mdbus2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mdbus2

This will remove the mdbus2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mdbus2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mdbus2

Or similarly, like this mdbus2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mdbus2
