How To Uninstall mediatomb-common On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall mediatomb-common just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mediatomb-common

UPnP MediaServer (base package)Ubuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/net0.12.1-5ubuntu2
sudo apt-get remove mediatomb-common

This will remove just the mediatomb-common package itself.

Uninstall mediatomb-common and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mediatomb-common

This will remove the mediatomb-common package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mediatomb-common then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mediatomb-common

Or similarly, like this mediatomb-common

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mediatomb-common
