How To Uninstall mediatomb-daemon On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall mediatomb-daemon just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mediatomb-daemon

UPnP MediaServer (daemon package)Ubuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/net0.12.1-5ubuntu2
sudo apt-get remove mediatomb-daemon

This will remove just the mediatomb-daemon package itself.

Uninstall mediatomb-daemon and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mediatomb-daemon

This will remove the mediatomb-daemon package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mediatomb-daemon then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mediatomb-daemon

Or similarly, like this mediatomb-daemon

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mediatomb-daemon
