How To Uninstall memcachedb On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall memcachedb just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just memcachedb

Persistent storage engine using the memcache protocolUbuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/web1.2.0-10ubuntu1
sudo apt-get remove memcachedb

This will remove just the memcachedb package itself.

Uninstall memcachedb and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove memcachedb

This will remove the memcachedb package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for memcachedb then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge memcachedb

Or similarly, like this memcachedb

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove memcachedb
