How To Uninstall mir-utils On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall mir-utils just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mir-utils

Display server for Ubuntu - utility programsUbuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/x110.1.8+14.04.20140411-0ubuntu1
sudo apt-get remove mir-utils

This will remove just the mir-utils package itself.

Uninstall mir-utils and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mir-utils

This will remove the mir-utils package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mir-utils then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mir-utils

Or similarly, like this mir-utils

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mir-utils
