How To Uninstall mirmon On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall mirmon just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mirmon

monitor the state of mirrorsUbuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/web2.9-1
sudo apt-get remove mirmon

This will remove just the mirmon package itself.

Uninstall mirmon and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mirmon

This will remove the mirmon package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mirmon then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mirmon

Or similarly, like this mirmon

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mirmon
