How To Uninstall mkvtoolnix-gui On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall mkvtoolnix-gui just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mkvtoolnix-gui

Set of tools to work with Matroska files - GUI frontendUbuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/graphics6.7.0-1
sudo apt-get remove mkvtoolnix-gui

This will remove just the mkvtoolnix-gui package itself.

Uninstall mkvtoolnix-gui and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mkvtoolnix-gui

This will remove the mkvtoolnix-gui package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mkvtoolnix-gui then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mkvtoolnix-gui

Or similarly, like this mkvtoolnix-gui

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mkvtoolnix-gui
