How To Uninstall modem-cmd On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall modem-cmd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just modem-cmd

send arbitrary AT commands to your modemUbuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/comm0.0.2
sudo apt-get remove modem-cmd

This will remove just the modem-cmd package itself.

Uninstall modem-cmd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove modem-cmd

This will remove the modem-cmd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for modem-cmd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge modem-cmd

Or similarly, like this modem-cmd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove modem-cmd
