How To Uninstall ubuntu-minimal On Ubuntu 15.04

To uninstall ubuntu-minimal just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ubuntu-minimal

Minimal core of UbuntuUbuntu 15.04metapackages1.334
sudo apt-get remove ubuntu-minimal

This will remove just the ubuntu-minimal package itself.

Uninstall ubuntu-minimal and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ubuntu-minimal

This will remove the ubuntu-minimal package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ubuntu-minimal then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ubuntu-minimal

Or similarly, like this ubuntu-minimal

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ubuntu-minimal
