How To Uninstall ubuntu-standard On Ubuntu 15.04

To uninstall ubuntu-standard just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ubuntu-standard

The Ubuntu standard systemUbuntu 15.04metapackages1.334
sudo apt-get remove ubuntu-standard

This will remove just the ubuntu-standard package itself.

Uninstall ubuntu-standard and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ubuntu-standard

This will remove the ubuntu-standard package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ubuntu-standard then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ubuntu-standard

Or similarly, like this ubuntu-standard

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ubuntu-standard
