How To Uninstall ubuntu-system-service On Ubuntu 15.04

To uninstall ubuntu-system-service just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ubuntu-system-service

Dbus service to set various system-wide configurationsUbuntu 15.04admin0.2.5build1
sudo apt-get remove ubuntu-system-service

This will remove just the ubuntu-system-service package itself.

Uninstall ubuntu-system-service and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ubuntu-system-service

This will remove the ubuntu-system-service package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ubuntu-system-service then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ubuntu-system-service

Or similarly, like this ubuntu-system-service

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ubuntu-system-service
