How To Uninstall ubuntu-virt-server On Ubuntu 15.04

To uninstall ubuntu-virt-server just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ubuntu-virt-server

Common packages necessary for hosting virtual machinesUbuntu 15.04metapackages1.4
sudo apt-get remove ubuntu-virt-server

This will remove just the ubuntu-virt-server package itself.

Uninstall ubuntu-virt-server and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ubuntu-virt-server

This will remove the ubuntu-virt-server package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ubuntu-virt-server then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ubuntu-virt-server

Or similarly, like this ubuntu-virt-server

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ubuntu-virt-server
