How To Uninstall i2c-tools On Ubuntu 15.04

To uninstall i2c-tools just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just i2c-tools

heterogeneous set of I2C tools for LinuxUbuntu 15.04universe/utils3.1.1-1
sudo apt-get remove i2c-tools

This will remove just the i2c-tools package itself.

Uninstall i2c-tools and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove i2c-tools

This will remove the i2c-tools package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for i2c-tools then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge i2c-tools

Or similarly, like this i2c-tools

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove i2c-tools
