How To Uninstall ubuntu-dev-tools On Ubuntu 15.04

To uninstall ubuntu-dev-tools just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ubuntu-dev-tools

useful tools for Ubuntu developersUbuntu 15.04universe/devel0.155~ubuntu2
sudo apt-get remove ubuntu-dev-tools

This will remove just the ubuntu-dev-tools package itself.

Uninstall ubuntu-dev-tools and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ubuntu-dev-tools

This will remove the ubuntu-dev-tools package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ubuntu-dev-tools then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ubuntu-dev-tools

Or similarly, like this ubuntu-dev-tools

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ubuntu-dev-tools
