How To Uninstall ubuntu-policy On Ubuntu 15.04

To uninstall ubuntu-policy just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ubuntu-policy

Debian Policy Manual and related documentsUbuntu 15.04universe/doc3.8.2.0ubuntu1
sudo apt-get remove ubuntu-policy

This will remove just the ubuntu-policy package itself.

Uninstall ubuntu-policy and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ubuntu-policy

This will remove the ubuntu-policy package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ubuntu-policy then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ubuntu-policy

Or similarly, like this ubuntu-policy

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ubuntu-policy
