How To Uninstall ubuntu-virt On Ubuntu 15.04

To uninstall ubuntu-virt just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ubuntu-virt

Host and manage virtual machinesUbuntu 15.04universe/metapackages1.4
sudo apt-get remove ubuntu-virt

This will remove just the ubuntu-virt package itself.

Uninstall ubuntu-virt and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ubuntu-virt

This will remove the ubuntu-virt package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ubuntu-virt then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ubuntu-virt

Or similarly, like this ubuntu-virt

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ubuntu-virt
