How To Uninstall ubuntu-vm-builder On Ubuntu 15.04

To uninstall ubuntu-vm-builder just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ubuntu-vm-builder

Ubuntu VM builderUbuntu 15.04universe/utils0.12.4+bzr489-0ubuntu2
sudo apt-get remove ubuntu-vm-builder

This will remove just the ubuntu-vm-builder package itself.

Uninstall ubuntu-vm-builder and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ubuntu-vm-builder

This will remove the ubuntu-vm-builder package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ubuntu-vm-builder then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ubuntu-vm-builder

Or similarly, like this ubuntu-vm-builder

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ubuntu-vm-builder
