How To Uninstall update-manager-text On Ubuntu 15.04

To uninstall update-manager-text just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just update-manager-text

Text application that manages apt updatesUbuntu 15.04universe/gnome1:15.04.7
sudo apt-get remove update-manager-text

This will remove just the update-manager-text package itself.

Uninstall update-manager-text and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove update-manager-text

This will remove the update-manager-text package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for update-manager-text then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge update-manager-text

Or similarly, like this update-manager-text

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove update-manager-text
