How To Uninstall upgrade-system On Ubuntu 15.04

To uninstall upgrade-system just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just upgrade-system

command for upgrading and sanitizing a Debian systemUbuntu 15.04universe/admin1.7.2.2
sudo apt-get remove upgrade-system

This will remove just the upgrade-system package itself.

Uninstall upgrade-system and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove upgrade-system

This will remove the upgrade-system package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for upgrade-system then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge upgrade-system

Or similarly, like this upgrade-system

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove upgrade-system
