How To Uninstall uuid On Ubuntu 15.04

To uninstall uuid just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just uuid

Universally Unique Identifier Command-Line ToolUbuntu 15.04universe/libs1.6.2-1.5build1
sudo apt-get remove uuid

This will remove just the uuid package itself.

Uninstall uuid and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove uuid

This will remove the uuid package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for uuid then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge uuid

Or similarly, like this uuid

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove uuid
