How To Uninstall ruby2.3-dev On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall ruby2.3-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby2.3-dev

Header files for compiling extension modules for the Ruby 2.3Ubuntu 16.10ruby2.3.1-5build2
sudo apt-get remove ruby2.3-dev

This will remove just the ruby2.3-dev package itself.

Uninstall ruby2.3-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby2.3-dev

This will remove the ruby2.3-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby2.3-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby2.3-dev

Or similarly, like this ruby2.3-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby2.3-dev
