How To Uninstall thunderbird-dbg On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall thunderbird-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just thunderbird-dbg

Email, RSS and newsgroup client - debug symbolsUbuntu 16.10devel1:45.3.0+build1-0ubuntu4
sudo apt-get remove thunderbird-dbg

This will remove just the thunderbird-dbg package itself.

Uninstall thunderbird-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove thunderbird-dbg

This will remove the thunderbird-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for thunderbird-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge thunderbird-dbg

Or similarly, like this thunderbird-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove thunderbird-dbg
