How To Uninstall thunderbird-dev On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall thunderbird-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just thunderbird-dev

Email, RSS and newsgroup client - development filesUbuntu 16.10mail1:45.3.0+build1-0ubuntu4
sudo apt-get remove thunderbird-dev

This will remove just the thunderbird-dev package itself.

Uninstall thunderbird-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove thunderbird-dev

This will remove the thunderbird-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for thunderbird-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge thunderbird-dev

Or similarly, like this thunderbird-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove thunderbird-dev
