How To Uninstall thunderbird-locale-ga On Ubuntu 16.10

Uninstall just thunderbird-locale-ga

Irish language pack for ThunderbirdUbuntu 16.10web1:45.3.0+build1-0ubuntu4
sudo apt-get remove thunderbird-locale-ga

This will remove just the thunderbird-locale-ga package itself.

Uninstall thunderbird-locale-ga and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove thunderbird-locale-ga

This will remove the thunderbird-locale-ga package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for thunderbird-locale-ga then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge thunderbird-locale-ga

Or similarly, like this thunderbird-locale-ga

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove thunderbird-locale-ga
