How To Uninstall ruby-pgplot On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall ruby-pgplot just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-pgplot

Ruby interface to the PGPLOT graphics libraryUbuntu 16.10multiverse/ruby0.1.9-3
sudo apt-get remove ruby-pgplot

This will remove just the ruby-pgplot package itself.

Uninstall ruby-pgplot and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-pgplot

This will remove the ruby-pgplot package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-pgplot then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-pgplot

Or similarly, like this ruby-pgplot

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-pgplot
