How To Uninstall bigdata On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall bigdata just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bigdata

Software platform for processing vast amounts of dataUbuntu 16.10universe/admin1.0.2
sudo apt-get remove bigdata

This will remove just the bigdata package itself.

Uninstall bigdata and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bigdata

This will remove the bigdata package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bigdata then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bigdata

Or similarly, like this bigdata

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bigdata
