How To Uninstall bitmap-mule On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall bitmap-mule just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bitmap-mule

bitmap handler for GNU EmacsUbuntu 16.10universe/editors8.5+0.20030825.0433-16
sudo apt-get remove bitmap-mule

This will remove just the bitmap-mule package itself.

Uninstall bitmap-mule and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bitmap-mule

This will remove the bitmap-mule package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bitmap-mule then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bitmap-mule

Or similarly, like this bitmap-mule

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bitmap-mule
