How To Uninstall eclipse-cdt-jni On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall eclipse-cdt-jni just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just eclipse-cdt-jni

linuxC/C++ Development Tools for Eclipse (JNI)universe/java8.6.0-1
sudo apt-get remove eclipse-cdt-jni

This will remove just the eclipse-cdt-jni package itself.

Uninstall eclipse-cdt-jni and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove eclipse-cdt-jni

This will remove the eclipse-cdt-jni package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for eclipse-cdt-jni then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge eclipse-cdt-jni

Or similarly, like this eclipse-cdt-jni

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove eclipse-cdt-jni
