How To Uninstall elpa-async On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall elpa-async just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just elpa-async

linuxsimple library for asynchronous processing in Emacsuniverse/lisp1.9-1
sudo apt-get remove elpa-async

This will remove just the elpa-async package itself.

Uninstall elpa-async and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove elpa-async

This will remove the elpa-async package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for elpa-async then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge elpa-async

Or similarly, like this elpa-async

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove elpa-async
