How To Uninstall elpa-rainbow-delimiters On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall elpa-rainbow-delimiters just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just elpa-rainbow-delimiters

Emacs mode to colour-code delimiters according to their depthUbuntu 16.10universe/lisp2.1.3-1
sudo apt-get remove elpa-rainbow-delimiters

This will remove just the elpa-rainbow-delimiters package itself.

Uninstall elpa-rainbow-delimiters and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove elpa-rainbow-delimiters

This will remove the elpa-rainbow-delimiters package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for elpa-rainbow-delimiters then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge elpa-rainbow-delimiters

Or similarly, like this elpa-rainbow-delimiters

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove elpa-rainbow-delimiters
