How To Uninstall elpa-undo-tree On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall elpa-undo-tree just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just elpa-undo-tree

Emacs minor mode for handling undo history as treeUbuntu 16.10universe/lisp0.6.4-1
sudo apt-get remove elpa-undo-tree

This will remove just the elpa-undo-tree package itself.

Uninstall elpa-undo-tree and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove elpa-undo-tree

This will remove the elpa-undo-tree package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for elpa-undo-tree then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge elpa-undo-tree

Or similarly, like this elpa-undo-tree

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove elpa-undo-tree
