How To Uninstall r-cran-ggplot2 On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall r-cran-ggplot2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just r-cran-ggplot2

implementation of the Grammar of GraphicsUbuntu 16.10universe/gnu-r2.1.0-3
sudo apt-get remove r-cran-ggplot2

This will remove just the r-cran-ggplot2 package itself.

Uninstall r-cran-ggplot2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove r-cran-ggplot2

This will remove the r-cran-ggplot2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for r-cran-ggplot2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge r-cran-ggplot2

Or similarly, like this r-cran-ggplot2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove r-cran-ggplot2
