How To Uninstall r-cran-rmysql On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall r-cran-rmysql just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just r-cran-rmysql

GNU R package providing a DBI-compliant interface to MySQLUbuntu 16.10universe/math0.10.9-2
sudo apt-get remove r-cran-rmysql

This will remove just the r-cran-rmysql package itself.

Uninstall r-cran-rmysql and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove r-cran-rmysql

This will remove the r-cran-rmysql package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for r-cran-rmysql then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge r-cran-rmysql

Or similarly, like this r-cran-rmysql

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove r-cran-rmysql
