How To Uninstall r-cran-rnetcdf On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall r-cran-rnetcdf just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just r-cran-rnetcdf

GNU R package that provides an R interface to NetCDF datasetsUbuntu 16.10universe/gnu-r1.6.3-1-1build2
sudo apt-get remove r-cran-rnetcdf

This will remove just the r-cran-rnetcdf package itself.

Uninstall r-cran-rnetcdf and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove r-cran-rnetcdf

This will remove the r-cran-rnetcdf package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for r-cran-rnetcdf then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge r-cran-rnetcdf

Or similarly, like this r-cran-rnetcdf

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove r-cran-rnetcdf
