How To Uninstall r-cran-uuid On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall r-cran-uuid just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just r-cran-uuid

Tools for generating and handling UUIDsUbuntu 16.10universe/gnu-r0.1.2-6
sudo apt-get remove r-cran-uuid

This will remove just the r-cran-uuid package itself.

Uninstall r-cran-uuid and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove r-cran-uuid

This will remove the r-cran-uuid package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for r-cran-uuid then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge r-cran-uuid

Or similarly, like this r-cran-uuid

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove r-cran-uuid
