How To Uninstall tar-split On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall tar-split just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tar-split

tar archive assembly/disassemblyUbuntu 16.10universe/devel0.9.13-1
sudo apt-get remove tar-split

This will remove just the tar-split package itself.

Uninstall tar-split and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tar-split

This will remove the tar-split package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tar-split then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tar-split

Or similarly, like this tar-split

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tar-split
