How To Uninstall tcptraceroute On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall tcptraceroute just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tcptraceroute

traceroute implementation using TCP packetsUbuntu 16.10universe/net1.5beta7+debian-4
sudo apt-get remove tcptraceroute

This will remove just the tcptraceroute package itself.

Uninstall tcptraceroute and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tcptraceroute

This will remove the tcptraceroute package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tcptraceroute then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tcptraceroute

Or similarly, like this tcptraceroute

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tcptraceroute
