How To Uninstall thunderbird-globalmenu On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall thunderbird-globalmenu just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just thunderbird-globalmenu

Email, RSS and newsgroup client (transitional package)Ubuntu 16.10universe/web1:45.3.0+build1-0ubuntu4
sudo apt-get remove thunderbird-globalmenu

This will remove just the thunderbird-globalmenu package itself.

Uninstall thunderbird-globalmenu and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove thunderbird-globalmenu

This will remove the thunderbird-globalmenu package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for thunderbird-globalmenu then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge thunderbird-globalmenu

Or similarly, like this thunderbird-globalmenu

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove thunderbird-globalmenu
