How To Uninstall tomcat7-user On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall tomcat7-user just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tomcat7-user

Servlet and JSP engine -- tools to create user instancesUbuntu 16.10universe/java7.0.72-1
sudo apt-get remove tomcat7-user

This will remove just the tomcat7-user package itself.

Uninstall tomcat7-user and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tomcat7-user

This will remove the tomcat7-user package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tomcat7-user then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tomcat7-user

Or similarly, like this tomcat7-user

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tomcat7-user
