How To Uninstall trace-cmd On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall trace-cmd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just trace-cmd

Utility for retrieving and analyzing function tracing in the kernelUbuntu 16.10universe/devel2.6-0.1
sudo apt-get remove trace-cmd

This will remove just the trace-cmd package itself.

Uninstall trace-cmd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove trace-cmd

This will remove the trace-cmd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for trace-cmd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge trace-cmd

Or similarly, like this trace-cmd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove trace-cmd
