How To Uninstall ttf-ancient-fonts On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall ttf-ancient-fonts just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ttf-ancient-fonts

Unicode Fonts for Ancient Scripts (transitional package)Ubuntu 16.10universe/x112.59-1
sudo apt-get remove ttf-ancient-fonts

This will remove just the ttf-ancient-fonts package itself.

Uninstall ttf-ancient-fonts and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ttf-ancient-fonts

This will remove the ttf-ancient-fonts package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ttf-ancient-fonts then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ttf-ancient-fonts

Or similarly, like this ttf-ancient-fonts

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ttf-ancient-fonts
